Saturday 14 December 11am to 3pm

Join us on Saturday 14 December and follow Mary and Joseph and their donkey and the three wise men on their camels on a journey through three different historic periods of Christmas in Gravesend.
Taking in the Victorian, Second World War and modern era, the parade will start at 12pm outside St George’s Church and will head towards the Old Town Hall in the High Street. It will then head up the High Street on to New Road and through St George’s Shopping Centre. The parade will end under the canopy of lights at the junction of the High Street and King Street with Christmas Carols and a Nativity tableau.

The full timetable for the day is as follows:
11am to 11.45am : Come and meet the camels on Community Square.
11am to 12pm: donkeys and sheep by St George’s Church
12pm to 1.30pm: Christmas procession
1.30pm to 3pm: Photo opportunities with the camels and an opportunity for donkey rides by St George’s Church.

We would love for children (and adults if they wish) to come dressed as shepherds, stars, angels, or wise men.

The event is provided by Churches Together in Gravesham working with Gravesham Borough Council.
