I am originally from London but I grew up in Surrey.
After leaving school, I started work at W.S. Atkins consulting engineers as a library assistant in Epsom. My weekends were spent working in a village pub.
I have always been interested in Art, Photography, Cinema and History; especially local history and the little things that make an area special.
15 years ago I moved to Gravesend to live and work, and I was made welcomed in this friendly community. Visits to the heritage centre, the tunnels in New Tavern Fort and a talk about Rosherville Gardens opened my eyes to Gravesend’s rich past and links with the river Thames.
The chance to learn more about Gravesend and pass my knowledge down to others seems an opportunity not to miss.
