Known locally as General Gordon – this talk explores his life and legacy as one of Gravesend’s most significant historical figures.

Thursday 26th January 2023 (This year is the 190th anniversary of his birth)

At: Gravesend Library, Windmill Street, Gravesend.

This talk will be preceded by a short presentation by author David Bissenden on his historical novel ‘The French Emperors Women’, a great tale set in Gordon’s Gravesend. There will be a chance to purchase this book and have it signed.
