Bird Wise are getting involved with guided walks happening across North Kent from the 12th to the 16th June, to showcase the amazing wildlife that depends on our beautiful coastline at this time of year.
Walks are suitable for all the family and are particularly suited to birdwatching beginners. Well behaved dogs are also welcome to come along but they must be kept on a lead at all times. If you have binoculars please bring them along but don’t worry if not as we’ll have our scope for you to look through.
For this walk we will be meeting at the corner of Milton Place car park at the Khartoum Place entrance to the Riverside gardens ready to start the walk at 10.00am. We will walk through the gardens and around the pond area checking out the birds and other wildlife using the trees and bushes on our way to the Thames Estuary. The duration of the walk is approximately 2 hours with plenty of time to stop and observe any wildlife we spot. The walk is flat and on structured paths.
It is free to attend our walks but places are limited so please book your free place – https://northkent.birdwise.org.uk/events/gbgw-gravesend-riverside/
We ask for your contact details when you book so we can let you know if anything changes on the day. Walks will go ahead if it is raining but may be cancelled if amber weather warnings are issued.
