This half term our Rangers will be leading guided walks across our North Kent coastline and we’d love you to join us and learn all about our amazing coastal wildlife.
Walks are suitable for all the family and are particularly suited to birdwatching beginners. Well behaved dogs are also welcome to come along but they must be kept on a lead at all times. If you have binoculars please bring them along but don’t worry if not as we’ll have our scope for you to look through.
For this longer walk we will be meeting at the very end of Canal Road in the parking area outside of the Nuralite Industrial Estate to start the walk at 11.00am. We will walk out to the England Coast Path checking out the birds and other wildlife using the coastline and surrounding marshes. The duration of the walk is approximately 3 hours with plenty of time to stop and observe any wildlife we spot. The walk is flat but the ground is uneven so it may not be suitable for anyone with limited mobility, the paths will be muddy if it has been raining. There is a small cafe at the start and end of the walk but please note there are no toilet facilities on the site.
It is free to attend our walks but places are limited so please use the registration button to book your free place. We ask for your contact details when you book so we can let you know if anything changes on the day. Walks will go ahead if it is raining but may be cancelled if amber weather warnings are issued.
