St Mary’s Church is taking part in the National Heritage Open Day on Sunday 19th September.
The main theme of this years national event is ‘Edible England‘. So as well as visiting this lovely church why not come to this free event and hear about farming in Higham in the past and present, and find out what the medieval nuns in Higham grew and ate and how they entertained!
Also hear from experts about farms and crops and sample some medieval recipes.
There will be guided tours of the church. Meet the Farmers sessions. Talks about the Nuns food and farming life, slide shows and photographs.
