Join us on Saturday 14 December and follow Mary and Joseph and their donkey, the three wise men on their camels, on a journey through three different historic periods of Christmas in Gravesend (Victorian, WWII and Modern time).
The parade will start at 12pm outside St George’s Church and will head towards the Old Town Hall in the High Street. It will then head up the High Street on to New Road, through St George’s Shopping Centre.
The parade will end under the ceiling of lights at the intersection of the High Street and King Street with some Christmas Carols and a Nativity tableau.
11am to 12pm – Come and meet the camels, donkeys and sheep by St George’s Church.
12pm to 1.30pm – Christmas procession
1.30pm to 3pm – Photo opportunities with the camels and donkey rides by St George’s Church.
We would like to encourage children (and adults if they wish to) to come dressed as shepherds, stars, angels, wise men or anything they associate with Christmas.
