A gentle shamanic ceremony using raw cacao and a guided journey with Camilla Baker at her home, Cobham Stable House, Owletts, Cobham or via zoom.
Cacao is a powerful plant medicine, readily available (and legal!)in the West.
The warm nature of the cacao plant – and it’s distinct flavour- makes it perfect for ritual use. Cacao has been used in healing for generations in South America.
In this ceremony we all set an intention, connect to cacao, and the spend time listening to your own inner wisdom. It is good to approach these events with an open attitude free from expectations. We run our events around the new moon , using the inward lunar energy and preparing for a new month ahead.
Cacao is a natural stimulant of serotonin, the body’s ‘happy’ biochemical that helps us balance our moods and open our hearts (literally – it naturally widens the blood vessels). If you are pregnant, have a pace-maker or are on anti-depressants please contact the organiser. You can still join in, but we take your care seriously and we will likely suggest a small, ‘homeopathic’ dose of cacao.
Camilla has been running cacao ceremonies for 4 years, but has been a teacher, facilitator and meditator for 20. Camilla lives on land her family have cared for since 1790 and this connection is a powerful one to share.
Now it is safe to do so, we offer this in person in my home. If you prefer to listen at home, I record the journey which is available for replay (but not the sharing before and after). You can select in person or replay tickets in the ticket options. If you come in person, the garden is available to you, your cacao will be cooked and I usually have a pot of dal/soup available after to help ground before you journey home.
You will need:-
-a space to cosy down for a couple of hours.
– (recommended but optional) journal, blanket, tarot cards, a glass of water.
If you are at home the replay will be sent within 2 hours of the event, via whatsapp or email. If listening home, you need the items above and something warm to drink. Instructions on preparing raw cacao will be sent when you book. If you don’t have raw cacao that you can make into ‘hot chocolate’ , a cup of your favourite tea will do.
A proportion of takings is given to TreeSisters to plant trees in the tropics. You can see more about this charity a of donate direct yourselves here: https://treesisters.org/fundraisers/camilla-bakers-fundraiser
