Riot, Robbery and Murder: Shakespeare and Marlowe in Kent

21 November, 2019 at 8:00 pm - 10:00 pm

- £4.50

Christopher Marlowe was born in Canterbury 1564, the same year that William Shakespeare was born in Stratford upon Avon. Shakespeare was definitely influenced by Marlowe’s work and there has always been speculation about who wrote what. There is no documentary evidence that they ever met. The November meeting has a Chrismassy feel, with wine, a raffle and seasonal refreshments.

Speaker: Professor Stephen Prickett

Members: Free entry.

Visitors: £4.50 – includes refreshments.
