Miniature Steam and Electric Train Rides
WHATEVER THE WEATHER the miniature trains run. Come for a ride every Sunday from April to October, 2pm until 5pm, at the grounds of the Cascade Leisure Centre. 50p a ride - FUN FOR ALL! A new free one-hour guided tour around Gravesend Borough Market. The Gravesham Accredited Tour Guides are running the tours taking in the market’s history, its restoration and Queen Victoria. The tour will take in some well-known landmarks such as the Town Pier and St George’s Church. Gravesend's Cold War bunker is located within Woodlands park and was originally known as Civil Defence Region 6. The bunker was an underground command post, built in 1954, from which Gravesend's rescue and emergency services were to be co-ordinated in the event of a nuclear attack.
