The bunker was an underground command post, built in 1954, from which Gravesend's rescue and emergency services were to be co-ordinated in the event of a nuclear attack. The Lion will be woken at 11am on Community Square, before receiving traditional Chinese leaves from the Mayor of Gravesham. the Lion will make its way across the square before moving into the Woodville where you are invited to join us for some traditional Chinese entertainment.
