An Evening with Jack Hayter and Friends

4th June 2026

As part of Gravesham Fringe join Jack Hayter, Rachel Lowrie and friends at The Mole Hole, Gravesend.

Jack Hayter is an established local folk singer songwriter, poet and writer, who performs songs which often incorporate Gravesend's and the Medway towns' local history and tales of The Thames.
Originally from Devon he has spent most of the last 40 years alongside the River, and this informs his material. His last album 'Abbey Wood' was critically acclaimed an he is currently recording 'Gravytown' a suite of songs about this town.
Hayter's wide ranging roots include playing with TV Smiths touring band, the American singer Mark Mulcahy, and Hefner, one of John Peel's favourite bands, and many others. An energetic and dynamic performer who will be accompanied by local musicians Rachel Lowrie and Sanjeev.
